Smart City Revisited (SAP HANA Innovation Case)
Disregarding the case of Dubai, cities located on the coast side can only partially exploit their territory for commercial purposes.  The solution that will be presented consists of an information system that autonomously informs the incoming ship passenger of which city he is approaching and while waiting to berth provides details of tourist activities, Sights, Nature, Culture, Shopping, Food … in short, everything the city has to offer and what it stands for.
The technical platform consists of 3 modules: REACH, FACE and BRAIN. BRAIN is a SAP HANA system that stores and analyses all the application’s data and also runs the FACE App (the part “in” the Hybrid Container). BRAIN also unlocks all collected data on which the Area Footfall Analysis is performed and mapped.
