As a KYC Analyst, you take on an important role at financial institutions such as banks and insurance companies. You determine whether a company becomes, or remains, a customer. The customers and prospects you investigate have a possible sanctions risk, a very complex organizational structure or a high structural risk due to the involvement of trust parties and private equity.
Specifically, you perform the gatekeeper function at financial institutions in Belgium. You investigate new and existing clients based on the “Know Your Client” principle, analyze known client information, consult additional internal and external sources, and ask specialized departments for further investigation. You draw up a watertight and solid report of your findings. Furthermore you identify and initiate improvement proposals and give (un)solicited advice. You have the lead in (complex) projects and consult with stakeholders from other departments involved. Finally, you are at the forefront of the field of Financial Economic Crime (FEC).
