PRACTICE LEAD DEVELOPMENT

As Practice Lead Development, you are a part of our management team. You get your energy mainly from guiding, training, coaching and mapping out career paths for your colleagues. In addition to your work as Practice Lead, you will also be active as a consultant for our clients, help create opportunities and define the right project approaches. As part of the unit’s management team, you will help further expand and realize the unit’s strategy. 

You’ll be responsible for a team that currently consists of about 30 consultants who are active at various customers. Although we work full stack, we mainly focus on the front-end part of software development. For example, we embrace frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue and Flutter. On the back-end side, we use Java, Nest.JS or .NET and collaborate with our colleagues from other units where necessary. 

Of course, you don’t do this alone. Beside a motivated team of software developers and your colleagues from the management team, you can rely on two competence leads (frameworks and architecture) who will assist you in your role.

• You are a real people manager: you are very communicative, can listen actively, understand group dynamics and as a coach you can create a good climate for your colleagues to grow their careers. You can already show the necessary experience in this field.
• You have an eye for talent and you are actively involved in the selection process of new colleagues. In addition, you will al be so co-responsible for the onboarding of new team members who start at Ordina. 
• You have a vision & ideas about development and how it has its place within digital & business transformation processes. Together with the other members of the management team, you have the drive to further expand and realize these ideas & vision. 
• You have a commercial mindset, which means that you have knowledge of the market, you are able to communicate fluently with customers and you enjoy finding and developing new opportunities. 
• You are familiar with how design and development fit together. Experience with Design Systems and the typical corporate environments in which Ordina often works is an added advantage. You like working in different and complex environments.
• You are fluent in Dutch and speak good English. Proficient knowledge of French is an asset, but not a must
