Post Telecom PSF

TOWARDS A FASTER AND MORE EFFICIENT APPROVAL PROCESS WITH SAP FIORI

Post Telecom PSF is a major European player in network communication. The ICT department of the Luxembourg post and telecoms operator, P&T, brought in Ordina to functionally upgrade their existing ERP application. In addition, Post Telecom PSF also wanted to take the approval process of invoices, purchase orders and sales orders to a higher level. For this our experts rolled out SAP Fiori, a mobile application with separate modules that contain the latest workflows and run on both computers and mobile devices. The simple architecture also guarantees rapid implementation within the organisation. Thanks to SAP Fiori, Post Telecom SPF managed to cut lead times dramatically and reduce the percentage of errors significantly. End users can also learn the intuitive application easily, resulting in substantial savings in the training budget.

Customer

Post Telecom PSF, the ICT department of the Luxembourg post and telecoms operator, P&T, is a major European player in network communication. The company began in 1990 as a family business under the name Netcore PSF and has expanded enormously in recent years. Today Post Telecom PSF employs 130 people and has a turnover of EUR 24 million.

Challenge

Besides a general functional upgrade of their existing ERP solution, Post Telecom PSF was looking for a system to make the approval process of invoices, purchase orders and sales orders run more smoothly. The solution had to enable employees to validate invoices, orders and sales orders easily, quickly and using different devices based on the necessary supporting documents.

Solution

Our consultants proposed SAP Fiori as a solution to take the business processes of Post Telecom PSF to a higher level. The application contains various separate modules with the latest workflows. SAP Fiori works entirely autonomously from the SAP Mobile platform and runs on both computers and smartphones and tablets. The mobile application consists of various role-based functionalities: each user only has access to the data and functions that apply to him or her. The simple architecture also guarantees rapid implementation within the organisation.

result

Because employees and managers now have access anytime, anywhere to business processes and associated information, approval processes were drastically reduced. The separate modules with personalised functionality resulted in a significant drop in the percentage of errors. End users can also learn the intuitive application easily, resulting in substantial savings in the training budget.
